About the Theme of the Conference - Youth for Societal Transformation. The youth conference is an
invitation to Christian youth in India to become strong partners in societal transformation.
Rev. Martin Luther King Jr said “One of the great liabilities of history is that all too many
people fail to remain awake through great periods of social change. Every society has its protectors of
status quo and its fraternities of the indifferent who are notorious for sleeping through revolutions.
Today, our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant
and to face the challenge of change”. Can you be the one staying awake and vigilant to lead the transformation
to our society? Come, share your thoughts ideas, debate and discuss, sharpen or soften as required. Not only
be the instrument of change but as Mahatma Gandhi said: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”.
